4 months {liam}

My darling,
chunkier than chunky,
 4 month, 18 pound 11.5 oz  96th percentile chunk
 You light up my days with your laughter, and your ability to draw anyone to you with your amazing smile.
Kieran, Anna and Tatum must kiss you a thousand times a day.
Your daddy adores you.
You have found your sweet hands that also grab on to my shirt when you nurse. You have yet to roll over because of your size.
Eventually, that time will come and it will come all too soon.
For now, I relish in your stationary cuteness as we lock eyes and you talk you away. Even when you are under the weather, your happiness finds a way to shine through.
Our light, our love,
our Liam.

on a saturday morning {when she's got a cold}

On a Saturday morning, when she's got a cold,
you can find her...
creating a storyline.
She focuses intently on what Minnie will wear and what she'll say.
She'd rather be outdoors, running like the wind.
Instead, this Saturday, the only thing running was her nose.
I inch toward her to capture her in her toddler delight. She knows not my presence...
her hair in tangles, glued to her face from the night's unrest,
she quietly dialogues and sings.
Amidst the struggles to breathe freely, she still eats waffles and gives her hair a fresh coat of syrup.
On this Saturday morning, she is still able to make the best of a day...
and smile.

on a saturday morning...{when she draws}

On a Saturday morning, you can find her at the table. She is quiet only when she draws. She is otherwise loud, boisterous, full of energy with not a lot of time to rest in between, except when she draws.
The pencils, pens, paints, crayons, and oil pastels fill the page not just with their vibrancy, but with a story, each one unique.
She loves the outdoors with a passion, but if she's inside, her
happy place is using her imagination to create.
Everything has it's place,
 everything is perfected to her liking.
 I sometimes forget how long it's been that she sits at the table because she is so focused on her masterpiece.
Always kneeling,
she calls out to me when she's done. I never know what to expect and with each scene that she brings me,
I am amazed at the details that she brings to life.
There wasn't much happening at our house on this particular Saturday morning other than our under the weather colds, oh and of course, when she draws.
